Past the clear coat? Still fixable.
Scratch & Scuff Repair
Not every scratch needs paint, and the test takes two seconds: run a fingernail across it. If your nail glides over, the damage is still in the clear coat and machine polishing will lift it out. If your nail catches — key marks, deep scrapes, anything showing primer or bare metal — polishing can't reach the bottom of it, and the area has to be sanded back, sealed, and refinished. That's this repair.
Why It's Worth Doing Right
- Spot repair confined to the damaged area rather than the whole panel
- Bare metal sealed before Florida humidity turns a scratch into rust
- An honest first answer — if polishing alone would fix it, we say so
Ideal For
- Key scratches and deep scrapes
- Scratches showing primer or bare metal
- Damage a paint correction pass cannot remove
